The first beta test of Ember Sword is coming to an end
Ember Sword has temporarily suspended its servers after a successful beta test to implement future updates and fixes. The beta test, which began in early July, intended to test the game and its infrastructure. While the EU servers remained open, they shut down on 23 August to allow for future features and improvements, with the game scheduled to relaunch later this year.
The list of upcoming features includes new weapons, new neighbourhoods, easier navigation integration, cosmetic mergers, friend lists, and the Capital becoming a safe zone after the defeat of Kanawha.
Although the exact number of beta players not disclosed, the developers shared some statistics, which include 100 thousand game sessions, 41 thousand hours of gameplay, 80 thousand Discord members and 800 thousand impressions on social media with 20 thousand new followers.
In addition, during the beta test, players had the opportunity to collect blockchain tokens called $EMBER and blockchain-managed land.
Ember Sword: the game world and blockchain technology
Ember Sword an open-world MMORPG developed by Bright Star Studios that combines elements of fantasy, role-playing game, and blockchain technologies. The game offers players to explore the vast world, engage in crafting, trade, and fight monsters and other players.
Ember Sword takes place in a world called Titon, which divided into four unique regions: Duskeran, Sevensong, Solarwood, and Edisain. Each region has its own atmosphere, biomes, and features.
The game does not have a traditional class system. However, players can develop their skills as they use different types of weapons and magic, allowing them to create their own unique character. Ember Sword offers a variety of activities, including PvE (player versus environment) and PvP (player versus player) battles, crafting, resource extraction, and trading.
Ember Sword uses blockchain technology to create a decentralised economy. The game has unique items represented by NFTs (non-fungible tokens) that can bought, sold, or exchanged. Players receive ownership of their own game assets.
