Blue Protocol release from Amazon Games Live-Service cancelled

Today, on 28 August, game publisher Bandai Namco confirmed that the MMORPG Blue Protocol will not released. This applies to both Japan and other countries. The Japanese version of the game will suspended on 18 January 2025. This means that any plans for the game outside of Japan have cancelled.

The teams that have been working on the game for so long disappointed that they cannot present it. This is reported in a statement published on the company’s website. Amazon Games and Bandai Namco have concluded that they will not be able to provide a service that will satisfy players. This is after plans for a worldwide release of Blue Protocol unveiled at The Game Awards in 2022, and the game hailed as unbeatable in 2023 after a preview.

What Blue Protocol could be like

This is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by the Japanese company Bandai Namco Studios. It attracted the attention of the public with its style, very similar to popular Japanese anime series. In addition, the game has a deep storyline focused on travel and adventure.

The Blue Protocol combat system combines elements of action and traditional role-playing games. Players have access to characters of different classes that have unique abilities and playstyle. The game can played in single player mode or teamed up with other players to fight bosses.

The game’s plot revolves around mysterious artefacts and magical powers that cause conflicts in the game world. Players explore these mysteries, gradually revealing the history of the world and their characters.
