New life simulation game InZOI recently reached a new milestone after only being released in late March 2025. Published by Korean studio Krafton, InZOI is produced and directed by Hyungjun Kim, and the studio also recently made waves after submitting a pitch to Blizzard Entertainment’s StarCraft, expressing interest in creating the next chapter of the sci-fi intellectual property, GameRant has reported.
Currently in Early Access, InZOI features many of the same mechanics that are common to competing life simulations, including a career, social interactions, character creation, and advanced building tools. Despite drawing significant comparisons to the Maxis IP, there are significant differences between InZOI and The Sims franchise, including realistic graphics versus cartoonish ones and a difference in the pace of the game.
InZOI Celebrates New Milestone
The official InZOI Twitter account announced that the game’s sales had surpassed one million thanks to fan interest, coming shortly after the April InZOI update, which made notable improvements to the game, including enabling or disabling aging and fixing Zoys sleeping for too long. The post highlighted the “incredible support” from players, including fan feedback, content, and creations, to bring the game to life on the market. The developers noted that they were incredibly grateful to receive the commendable achievement, and vowed to continue their hard work to breathe life into the rich simulation.
The new life simulator has certainly taken the gaming scene by storm, and players are especially happy that the InZOI developers decided to add a much-requested feature as part of a free update. One Twitter user responded to the praise post, saying it was “shocking” that an early access game had significantly more content than a game that had been live for over 10 years, for example.
Adaptations, cheat codes, and system improvements
Gamers have been curious to see if InZOI will be coming to consoles in the future, and the life simulator is set to grace the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles after its early access period ends. Fans have finally confirmed that the new adventure was their “dream game,” while others have attributed the team’s success to listening to the community and taking feedback constructively.
Looking ahead, the developer recently updated InZOI’s content roadmap, adding more fixes in response to player feedback and releasing patch 0.1.3, which addresses additional issues. The first major content update for InZOI is scheduled for May, which will introduce new features such as implementation, cheat codes, and improvements to existing systems.
