Leaked patch notes unveil that Borderlands 4's weakest character is set to receive 66 buffs

An early release of the upcoming patch notes for Borderlands 4 has unintentionally surfaced on the official French website, revealing significant improvements for one of the game’s less favored vault hunters.

This leak, which appears to reflect changes scheduled for the patch on September 25th, includes an extensive list of modifications for each of the four playable vault hunters. While the exact timing of the patch’s release this week remains uncertain, it’s clear that Amon will receive a remarkable total of 66 enhancements spanning his three skill trees.

Among these adjustments are crucial bug fixes; notably, Amon’s Primal Surge passive will now accurately restore shields and ammunition. Additionally, his Crucible Axes will more effectively detect nearby enemies when deployed. Furthermore, the Wall of Flame ability has been updated to ensure that Vengeance cannot activate before Scourge is employed. In essence, Amon’s abilities should now function as intended.

More detailed changes come in the form of extensive numerical upgrades to Amon’s skills. While there are too many to list in full, some key highlights include a 50% increase in Scourge’s maximum Vengeance, allowing for greater damage absorption and output when using the whip. Speaking of which, the whip has received a considerable 27% damage boost.

The Onslaughter action skill has also seen a tremendous 78% damage increase, ensuring it hits shielded foes more reliably, which addresses a prior issue. Additionally, on the same skill tree, both Fellfrost and Fulminating Fist will benefit from impressive damage boosts of 71% and 69% respectively. Overall, it’s a promising time for players who choose Amon.

These enhancements, among others, are anticipated to be rolled out later this week, with many changes aimed at achieving better balance for endgame players. It’s noteworthy that while several abilities have received substantial buffs and fixes, the popular Vex knife crit build that currently excels against bosses has not been altered.
