Silent Hill's Akira Yamaoka reveals his inaugural U.S. tour and an "immersive live performance experience

Akira Yamaoka, the renowned composer and sound design director behind the Silent Hill franchise and other notable titles such as The Medium and Lollipop Chainsaw, is set to embark on his inaugural U.S. tour in February 2026.

Yamaoka aims to deliver his legendary soundtracks through an immersive live performance experience, with multiple dates scheduled across the nation. He will be joined each night by the internationally acclaimed singer, composer, and lyricist Raj Ramayya, recognized for his contributions to Cowboy Bebop and Resident Evil. Together, they have released a new single titled “Encrypted Code Reality,” which debuted on the eerie date of October 31st.

The tour will commence in Los Angeles on February 19th and conclude in Austin, Texas, in July. Below is the complete list of tour dates:

Yamaoka began his journey with Konami in 1993 and has created music for a multitude of its games, contributing to every installment of Silent Hill from the original release in 1999 through to Silent Hill: Shattered Memories in 2009. After departing Konami that same year to join Suda51’s Grasshopper Manufacture, he has since returned to compose music for the Silent Hill 2 Remake and Silent Hill f.

This U.S. tour marks a decade since Yamaoka’s last performance in the UK as part of a Silent Hill Live event, where he played music from the series alongside a live band. Attendees from those shows in 2015 experienced a surreal and unforgettable evening.
