Uniqlo is launching a new collection of pastel Pokémon T-shirts for next year's 30th anniversary

Are you on the hunt for a new Pokémon T-shirt? Regardless of your stance, if an appealing design catches your eye, you might just be tempted! Well, get ready, as the popular Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo has unveiled an exciting Pokémon collaboration set for 2026.

The collection is expected to launch at the end of March and will boast seven distinct designs—catering to both adults and children, often differing in base color. One of the standout adult designs features a calming blue Snorlax illustration on the left side of the chest, accompanied by the phrase “Snorlax woke up!” beneath it. There’s also a playful grey Gengar shirt with the character grinning mischievously in the center, which is likely to be a hit.

The highlight for kids is undoubtedly a vibrant sunshine yellow Pikachu design, which would be amazing in adult sizes too. Additionally, both kids and adults can enjoy a white T-shirt featuring watercolour-style designs of Bulbasaur, Charmeleon, and Squirtle, along with the text “I have only 3 left, but you can have one! Choose!” This phrase seems to be a reference from the original Pokémon game, at least as far as my Pokémon knowledge goes.

Next year marks Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, with the official celebration slated for February 27. However, Pokémon first made its way to the West a few years later, reaching the UK in 1999. This led to significant changes within various gaming companies at the time.

The adult T-shirts will be priced at €19.90, while the children’s versions will be available for €12.90. Maybe you can fit into one of the smaller sizes!

Uniqlo is no stranger to Pokémon partnerships, having recently released unique designs, including a notable one featuring Magikarp.

This year also saw the release of “Pokémon Legends: Z-A” for Nintendo Switch, a more unconventional installment in the Pokémon series. It’s received mixed reviews, with some praising its focused design while noting areas for improvement.
