Cronos: The New Dawn proving challenging? An easy mode is coming soon
The psychological horror game, Cronos: The New Dawn, which features elements of time travel, is set to introduce a new difficulty mode designed for those who prefer a more accessible gameplay experience. This mode, named Temporal Driver, is scheduled for release in early 2026. It will enhance player resilience by increasing health points while simultaneously reducing enemy health, maintaining the overall essence of the game.
At present, players can choose between two existing difficulty settings: the standard mode, known as Anvil of the Collective, and a harder version called Forged in Fire, which becomes available after completing the game on standard difficulty.
Developed by Bloober, Cronos was launched in September and received positive reviews. One critic praised it with a four-star rating, describing it as Bloober Team’s finest original title to date and highlighting its immersive setting and narrative depth that captures the atmosphere of 1980s Poland.
For those interested, a demo of Cronos is currently available on both Steam and Epic platforms, providing an opportunity to experience the game firsthand.
