Battlefield 6 adjusts “vehicle access” on Breakthrough maps for both attackers and defenders
Battlefield 6 is set to modify vehicle availability on its Breakthrough maps to enhance gameplay pacing and ensure balanced access for both attackers and defenders.
These adjustments will initially be implemented in New Sobek City and are part of a broader initiative aimed at several Breakthrough maps. The developers plan to actively monitor the effects of these changes on gameplay flow.
In a recent social media communication, the team shared, “Recently, we initiated a series of modifications across various Breakthrough maps, starting with the implementation in New Sobek City. Our goal is to enhance pacing and vehicle accessibility for both attackers and defenders, and we are closely observing the impact of these adjustments.”
Notably, the developers acknowledged that these changes might not yield the desired outcomes, but they are committed to adjusting or reverting any changes if necessary as they focus on enhancing the overall Breakthrough experience.
The announcement concluded with gratitude towards the players for their patience, support, and valuable feedback during the fine-tuning process. They hinted at more updates coming in the New Year and extended holiday wishes to the community.
Earlier this month, Battlefield 6 received a significant update that included netcode and hit registration improvements prior to the Winter Offensive update, which launched on December 9. This update is part of ongoing efforts to improve online gameplay and address concerns that players have had regarding online performance since the game’s release.
This update was rolled out shortly after EA announced that around 98% of its games post-launch were free of cheats, alongside a week-long free-to-play event allowing players to experience the military FPS without any cost.
