Kristen Stewart will star in a vampire film again. And this is the first time since the Twilight saga. According to a recent press release, Stewart and Isaac will play the main roles in Flesh of the Gods.

The upcoming thriller will be directed by Panos Cosmatos. He previously directed the horror film Mandy. The screenwriter will be Andrew Kevin Walker, known for the serial killer thriller Seven (1995). Adam McKay, Betsy Koch and Oscar Isaac will produce the film.

The film will show Los Angeles in the 80s. Stuart and Isaac will play Alexa and Raul. This couple leaves their luxury condominium every night to plunge into the nightlife. On one of these nights, they cross paths with a mysterious figure. It is she who lures them into a surreal world of glamour, hedonism and violence.

At the press release, Adam McKay said he found the film to be extremely commercial and exciting. The incredible actors, director, screenwriter, vampires and the style of the distant 80s will take modern music, culture and cinema to a new level.

Panos Cosmatos, in turn, added that, like Los Angeles itself, Flesh of the Gods is on the borderline between fantasy and nightmare. The attractive and hypnotic film will take the viewer to the very heart of hell.

Filming will begin in the second half of 2024. The film Flesh of the Gods does not have a studio. Nevertheless, it will appear at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.
