Ukrainian studio KNIFE! Films has announced the release of a new documentary series, “Episodes”, dedicated to significant events in modern Ukrainian history. This unique project combines first-person accounts with archival materials, shedding light on key moments that have shaped the country since 1992.
The series, which underwent production for one and a half years, has already captivated audiences with its depth and historical accuracy. In particular, the episode “Ukraine at the Mundial” tells the story of the football match between Ukraine and Switzerland at the 2006 World Cup.
However, special attention is drawn to the episode “Shadow of Chernobyl”, dedicated to the creation of the iconic game STALKER by the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World. Directed by Artem Hryhoryan, this episode delves into the game’s development process and its significance for Ukrainian culture.
The documentary film “EPISODES: Shadow of Chernobyl” is set to premiere in cinemas across the “Planeta Kino” network from May 16th to May 22nd. It’s an unprecedented opportunity for fans of the cult game and those interested in the history of its creation.
