Skate Developer Full Circle Acknowledges Layoffs While Stating Strong Commitment to Game’s Future

Skate developer Full Circle, a member of EA’s studio network, has revealed that it will be undergoing “changes to its team structure,” which will include layoffs.

The studio stated that it is “transforming” to better align its efforts with the long-term vision for Skate and to prioritize elements that are most important to players. Unfortunately, this transformation means that staff reductions are unavoidable.

In a blog post, Full Circle acknowledged the impact of the layoffs, expressing that the affected employees are valued teammates who contributed significantly to the development of Skate. The company emphasized that this decision does not reflect their contributions and committed to providing support during this transition.

Despite the restructuring, development on Skate will continue. Full Circle expressed optimism and a dedication to enhancing their engagement with players, stating, “We are excited to evolve as we increase our responsiveness and improve our delivery for everyone.” Their commitment to the game and its community remains steadfast.

The studio has not disclosed the exact number of employees facing layoffs. Updates will be provided as more details emerge.
