Amazon’s Life is Strange TV series casts its Max and Chloe, featuring Nashville star in the lead role
The new TV adaptation of Life is Strange, produced by Amazon, has officially cast its main characters.
Chloe Price and Max Caulfield will be portrayed by Maisy Stella and Tatum Grace Hopkins, respectively. Stella, a talented musician and actress, is widely recognized for her role as Daphne Conrad in Nashville, while Hopkins is set to make her television debut with this series, having mainly focused on stage performances until now.
The series’ plot centers on Max, a photography student who discovers her ability to rewind time while trying to save her childhood friend, Chloe. As Max learns to navigate this newfound power, the duo delves into the mysterious disappearance of a fellow student, revealing a darker side of their town that forces them to confront a life-altering decision that could change their lives forever.
Similar to the original video game released in 2015, this adaptation will be led by Charlie Covell, known for her work on The End of the F***ing World. She will not only be writing but also producing the series, alongside executive producers Dmitri M. Johnson, Mike Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson from Story Kitchen.
Charlie Covell expressed her excitement about the project, stating, “Adapting Life Is Strange for Amazon MGM Studios is a huge honor. As a long-time fan of the game, I am thrilled to collaborate with the amazing teams at Square Enix, Story Kitchen, and LuckyChap to bring Max and Chloe’s journey to both fans and new audiences.”

In addition to the series, fans can look forward to the next installment of the Life is Strange franchise, titled Reunion, which is set to launch on March 26. This new chapter will bring Chloe and Max back together once more.
Earlier this year, I had the chance to experience Life is Strange: Reunion firsthand, and it was truly moving to see the two characters reunite after what seemed like a final farewell. My hope is that the rest of the story continues to deliver the same emotional weight, ensuring this reunion resonates deeply with players.
