Upcoming installment in popular co-op puzzle franchise We Were Here revealed, set to release this year

The highly anticipated fifth installment in the popular co-op puzzle game series, We Were Here, has officially been announced. Titled We Were Here Tomorrow, this new chapter promises to bring the most significant changes to the series so far, as stated by the independent studio, Total Mayhem Games. Players will find themselves in a retro-futuristic environment known as the Norcek facility, where they’ll discover new outfits and abilities.

A teaser for We Were Here Tomorrow has been released, showcasing what players can expect:

In this standalone adventure, you and a partner awaken within a enigmatic facility filled with unusual machinery. A calm and reassuring voice leads you through various tasks. The gameplay emphasizes separation, with each player equipped with different tools, requiring effective communication through walkie-talkies. Each challenge involves unique asymmetrical puzzles that necessitate collaboration between explorers.

This concept excites me personally, and I plan to invite my fellow co-op puzzle enthusiast, Matt, to join me for this adventure—though he doesn’t know that yet!

We Were Here Tomorrow is slated to launch later this year on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, and players can add the game to their wishlist in advance.

In the past, earlier titles in the series have garnered attention, with one particularly praised entry, We Were Here Forever, described as a surprisingly engaging co-op experience for those who typically prefer solo gaming.
