Wayfinder 1.0 update to be launched in October
Airship Syndicate has announced a major update for Wayfinder: Echoes. It will be available on PlayStation 5, and the game will also return to sale on this platform.
The team is working with Critical Role, and the official launch of Wayfinder 1.0 will take place on 21 October. The game is a one-time purchase, there is no in-game monetisation, and players will have the option to play offline or in co-op mode.
The collaboration with Critical Role will include themed content. The game will feature mounts for trinkets, 15 items for housing and skins for Vox Machina characters. You can also expect 4 characters and 10 sprays. This set will be available for $19.99 and will released with the game’s update on 21 October.
Quality of life updates
In the future, the developer Airship Syndicate will provide additional support packages for Wayfinder. The creators report that they will focus on unique cosmetic collaborations with other IPs. They will not sold in-game to avoid putting pressure on players to make purchases. The specifics of these collaborations have not been announced. However, they are said to be in line with the game developer’s philosophy.
Wayfinder is available on PC and Playstation 5. The upcoming quality of life update will have a housing expansion feature. It allows players to create multi-storey apartments to decorate, personalise and display collectibles.
In addition, the update brings practical improvements such as smoother melee controls and a number of options for customising the game experience. These options include world scaling tools, as well as new performance options and interface settings.
