A major update has already seen Grand Theft Auto 5 and Online break impressive Steam records as new and returning players alike flock to the game to check out its latest features, reported by Rockstar Games. With the huge influx of players, many older players may find themselves needing some quick cash to get their hands on all the content Grand Theft Auto Online has to offer.

The good news is that Rockstar Games is offering some players $3 million if they meet certain requirements, according to a new offer on its website. Players who haven’t logged into GTA Online in the past 60 days will get $1 million for logging in, no questions asked. But getting the remaining $2 million is a bit trickier.

Rockstar Games’ Offer

Grand Theft Auto Online players looking to get their hands on the remaining $2 million will have to fork out for one of Grand Theft Auto’s controversial shark cards. Once you’ve logged in and earned $1 million, you can get the next $1.5 million by purchasing a Great White, Whale, or Megalodon Shark Card, which are priced at $19.99, $49.99, and $99.99, respectively. Finally, for those who are dedicated enough, the remaining $500,000 can be earned by becoming a member of GTA+, a subscription service that costs $7.99 per month.

The service offers a variety of perks, including $500,000 per month, vehicle discounts, CEO and VIP privileges, and more. This offer is unlikely to appeal to fans, especially considering the caveat that most of them require players to spend real money. There’s also the recent controversy surrounding a supposed free vehicle in Grand Theft Auto Online, which is still causing some fans to fret after paying nearly $2 million for the Karin S95. The vehicle was supposed to be free for users who upgraded to the enhanced version of the game, but most players found themselves immediately charged for the vehicle, despite it being marked as “free.”

PC Update

Grand Theft Auto 6 may be on the horizon, but that hasn’t stopped developer Rockstar Games from slowing down work on new updates for Grand Theft Auto Online. On March 4, both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online received a huge PC update that significantly improved the game’s graphics. Following the release of the “Enhanced and Enhanced” version of Grand Theft Auto 5 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2022, PC users are finally getting the same update three years later. The Enhanced Edition includes a wide range of new graphical enhancements and features, including ray tracing features such as ambient occlusion, global illumination, ray traced shadows and reflections, and more.
