McDonald’s is teaming up with A Minecraft Movie, creating a pair of meals for fans to grab, including a variety of collectibles, toys, and a brand-new Minecraft-themed dipping sauce. Minecraft and McDonald’s fans won’t have long to wait, as McDonald’s A Minecraft Movie promotion kicks off on April 1, reported by GameRant.  

The Minecraft Movie is the latest film adaptation of the popular video game franchise, hitting theaters on April 4. Fans of the game have been waiting a long time for the film, with plans for the film announced back in 2014. After years of delays and reshoots, it’s finally here, and McDonald’s is ready to celebrate.

Minecraft Movie Meals

McDonald’s has officially announced its partnership with Minecraft Movie, which kicks off on April 1 and will be available to both kids and adults. The Minecraft Movie Happy Meal comes with what fans of Happy Meals would expect, featuring Chicken McNuggets, apple slices, fries, and a drink. The Happy Meal comes with one of 12 movie-themed figures or Block World toys.

Adults are offered a “Minecraft Movie Meal,” which offers a choice of a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, along with a medium fries, a drink, and one of six different collectibles based on the movie and McDonald’s icons. The six include a Big Mac crystal, bird wings, Fry’s helmet, a grimace egg, a soda potion, and a zombie burger. Meanwhile, McDonald’s is introducing a limited-time Nether Flame Sauce, a Minecraft Nether-inspired hot sauce that contains crushed red pepper and cayenne pepper with garlic and a bit of sweetness to balance it out.

Digital Game Quests

In addition to food and collectibles, the fun can continue at home, including Minecraft itself. A Minecraft Movie Happy Meals come with a code that can be used to unlock a digital game quest in the world of A Minecraft Movie on the McDonald’s website. Minecraft Movie Meal collectibles come with a code that unlocks the corresponding skin in the Minecraft Marketplace. Finally, A Minecraft Movie Meals purchased through the McDonald’s app will give fans another code that will get them a free McDonald’s Minecraft expansion pack.

McDonald’s is no stranger to collaborating with big video games and movies, and fans should know that these promotions are often in high demand. The offer will only be available while supplies last, so fans may want to check out McDonald’s deals before the Minecraft movie hits theaters.
