Control Spin-off FBC: New Trailer for Firebreak Features Interdimensional Furnaces and Exploding Pink Slime

During the Galaxies Gaming Showcase, Remedy Entertainment unveiled more details about their forthcoming cooperative spin-off of Control, titled FBC: Firebreak. A more extensive announcement is slated for next Thursday, April 24th.

In FBC: Firebreak, players take on the roles of agents within the Federal Bureau of Control’s Firebreak division. This elite group of volunteer responders is tasked with navigating the ever-shifting Oldest House to manage its unpredictable paranormal phenomena.

In previous presentations, fans were introduced to a mission featuring a chaotic swarm of sentient Post-It notes. The latest trailer continues this witty style, focusing on wild furnaces and an outbreak of pink, explosive goo known as Exogenic Mass. Players will work to regain control over the Maintenance Sector of the Oldest House.

These scenarios represent just a couple of the bizarre challenges that players will encounter as they embark on various missions, referred to as Jobs, assigned by the higher-ups of the FBC. Each mission will take players to different locations within the Oldest House, featuring a mix of familiar and novel environments, as well as unique mechanics, foes, and objectives.

FBC: Firebreak is shaping up to be an exhilarating take on the cooperative shooter genre, conveniently devoid of time-consuming live service elements. The game is set to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC this summer. Those interested in learning more about this title can catch a special Twitch livestream at 6 PM BST / 10 AM PDT on April 24th, where Remedy promises to showcase new content and exciting updates.

Additionally, FBC: Firebreak is not the only project Remedy is working on. They are also collaborating with Rockstar Games to remaster Max Payne 1 & 2, and there are plans for a full sequel to the original Control titled Control 2.
