Battlefield 6 boasts nearly 250,000 players in the open beta queue

Currently, nearly 250,000 players are in line to access the Battlefield 6 early access beta, which is set to begin later today.

The highly anticipated game is scheduled for release on October 10, and players will have the opportunity to join in over the weekend. Those who expressed interest in participating in the game’s Labs tests will have access to these trials, resulting in a substantial number of participants.

As it stands, the number of players on Steam has reached approximately 296,500, indicating that nearly 300,000 individuals are waiting in the queue.

One player, who was in line around the 195,000 mark, decided to step back to see how extensive the queue really was, only to find themselves positioned at 227,240 upon returning. This situation suggests a lack of disconnection protection in the queue system, so if you lose your internet connection while waiting, expect your queue time to increase significantly.

Anticipation has been building for Battlefield 6 for quite some time, particularly following the multiplayer reveal that took place last month. The game promises the classic military FPS elements such as expansive tank battles, squad-based gameplay, and the environmental destruction that has become a hallmark of the series.

From our preview of the multiplayer component of Battlefield 6, we came away feeling optimistic and noted, “The foundations for what could be a truly outstanding Battlefield game are present with Battlefield 6 – potentially even a classic. However, I need to see more gameplay to fully evaluate its potential. I am curious to observe how the community adapts and forms new strategies beyond the traditional methods of gameplay or if these changes complicate what could be an amazing experience.”

If you’re interested in trying out the Battlefield 6 beta, there are still opportunities to secure a code through various channels. Just remember to be mindful of the queues should you be successful.
