Nintendo is venturing into the infant and toddler market with a new line of toys, clothing, and various products branded under the My Mario label. To accompany this initiative, they are also introducing a toddler-friendly stop-motion animated series featuring Mario.

The My Mario series is designed to be enjoyable for both parents and their little ones. It will include a combination of Nintendo’s original items and those created in collaboration with partner companies. The highlight is the animated series titled “It’s Me, Mario! Stop Motion Shorts,” which will be accessible on the My Mario website and other platforms. Each free episode lasts approximately one minute and showcases a variety of expressions and movements from a stop-motion version of Mario.

In addition to this, Nintendo has launched a free app called Hello, Mario! for mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch. This app allows children to interact with Mario’s face in a playful manner reminiscent of the classic Mario 64 title screen. Players can tug at his face, prompting different reactions, providing a fun way for parents and young children to enjoy the experience together.

The My Mario website also features an extensive selection of toddler-friendly merchandise, including bowls and spoons, adorable Mario-themed hoodies, t-shirts, picture books, bibs, pajamas, blankets, plush toys, diaper bags, socks, rattles, and more.

A standout offering from Nintendo is a series of wooden block sets. One set consists of three pieces, while the other includes 30. The larger set is priced at 19,980 yen (about £100) and contains various iconic Mushroom Kingdom blocks, such as the question mark block, brick block, and music note block. It also comes with wooden power-ups like the super mushroom, green shell, fire flower, and super star, along with a large green warp pipe. Notably, the box opens up to reveal a mini diorama scene. Additionally, it includes wooden figures of Mario, Peach, Luigi, and Yoshi, which can also function as amiibo for compatible games. The smaller three-block set, featuring Mario, a question mark block, and a super mushroom, is priced at 2,980 yen (approximately £15).

The first wave of My Mario products is set to launch in Japan on August 26, with plans for a broader release in other regions beginning in 2026.
