Battlefield 6’s anti-cheat measures have stopped 330,000 attempts to manipulate the system
If you’ve been curious about how the Secure Boot requirement and the Javelin anti-cheat mechanism are performing during the extensive open beta for Battlefield 6, EA’s Anti-Cheat team has shared some impressive statistics. During the Open Beta phase alone, Javelin has successfully thwarted over 300,000 cheating attempts and assessed more than 100,000 potential cheaters.
In a recent forum post, the Anti-Cheat team stated, “Your reports significantly assist us in locating emerging cheat communities. Reporting just one cheater often leads to new detection methods, allowing us to mitigate their impact on your gameplay experience.” They emphasized that the fight against cheating is a continuous endeavor, adapting strategies as needed based on the game and its evolving landscape.
Since the launch of the Open Beta’s Early Access, Javelin has blocked approximately 330,000 cheating attempts, while players have reported around 44,000 potential cheating incidents on the first day and an additional 60,000 as of today.
The team is already collaborating with their Gameplay Integrity division to enhance detection processes within Battlefield 6. They are also engaging with the Battlefield Positive Play team to remove confirmed cheaters actively.
Addressing concerns about the necessity of Secure Boot, the Anti-Cheat team clarified that it is not a guaranteed solution but rather a tool that enhances their anti-cheat capabilities. “Secure Boot contributes to our ability to combat cheating by creating obstacles for cheat developers and streamlining our detection efforts when cheats are present,” they explained.
Secure Boot ensures that your system does not operate with vulnerable drivers. Thus, if Secure Boot is engaged and those drivers are detected, it signals a potential issue.
Battlefield 6 is anticipated to launch on October 10th. Everyone who expressed interest in the Battlefield 6 Labs tests has been granted access to these beta trials this weekend, which is a substantial number of players. If you are unable to participate this weekend, don’t fret; there will still be opportunities to complete Weekend 1 challenges next week.
Connor has had the chance to experience this eagerly awaited shooter, commenting that “[Playing Battlefield 6] fills me with cautious optimism. I believe the foundation for a truly exceptional Battlefield game exists here—possibly even a classic. However, I need to play more to see how innovative gameplay changes unfold and whether they foster new strategies or complicate an otherwise promising experience.”
