Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 Launches on PlayStation 5

Launched on May 21, 2024, for Xbox Series consoles and PC, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 has now made its debut on PlayStation 5. Players on this platform can choose between two different editions of Ninja Theory’s cinematic action title:

• Standard Edition – Priced at £49.99, this edition includes Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 along with all enhancements and new features provided by the Enhanced Update.
• Deluxe Edition – Available for £69.99, the Deluxe Edition offers the upgraded version of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice for PlayStation 5, plus the original soundtrack of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice.

Players who have already purchased Hellblade 2 on Xbox or PC—whether through Game Pass or otherwise—will also benefit from the free Enhanced Update, which introduces a range of new features:

Enhanced Update Features:

• Performance Mode – Originally designed for a cinematic experience at 30fps, the Enhanced Update introduces a ‘Performance Mode’ that allows for optimization at 60fps. On PC, it will feature a “Very High” preset to enhance visual fidelity based on individual system capabilities.

• Dark Rot Mode – This additional challenge, inspired by the Dark Rot from Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, presents an extra layer of difficulty. As players fail, the Dark Rot increases, and if it reaches Senua’s head, her journey ends, resulting in a loss of all progress.

• Enhanced Photo Mode – This update expands the photo mode capabilities, including a new ‘Motion’ option that allows for customized cinematic video captures.

• Developer Commentary – Offering insight into the game’s creation, the Enhanced Update features over four hours of commentary from various developers involved in the project.
