Ex-Head of Lego Studio TT Games Working on Peter Pan Game in Partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity
A new video game studio has emerged in the UK, founded by Tom Stone, who previously served as the managing director of TT Games, known for titles like Lego Star Wars, Lego Batman, and Lego Harry Potter. This new venture, named Second Star Games, is located in Manchester and features a team of experienced industry professionals, including developers from the Lego game series. The studio is working on a game inspired by the beloved character of Peter Pan.
The project, titled “Neverland: A Peter Pan Adventure,” is in partnership with the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH). Notably, GOSH holds the rights to Peter Pan, a gift from the author J.M. Barrie back in 1929.
Proceeds from game sales will benefit GOSH Charity, supporting medical care for children facing severe health challenges throughout the UK. While the specifics of the game remain under wraps, some initial concept art has been revealed.
Jenny Martin, GOSH Charity’s senior brand licensing manager, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: “We are thrilled to partner with Second Star Games to bring the enchanting world of Neverland to life for a new generation of young gamers. This magical setting of adventure and imagination will serve as a fantastic backdrop for what promises to be an exceptional game. Importantly, every copy sold will contribute to funding the care of seriously ill children at Great Ormond Street Hospital. We eagerly anticipate this exciting chapter in our journey through Neverland.”
Grahame ‘Chily’ Chilton is stepping in as the lead investor for Second Star Games, following his investment in the original Lego Star Wars title and his prior involvement with GOSH Charity’s fundraising initiatives.
