Dataminers suggest that Battlefield 6’s battle royale “Battlefield: RedSec” might be surprise released as early as next week
Battlefield 6’s battle royale mode is anticipated to launch as early as next week.
Earlier this summer, details of the game’s battle royale map surfaced, showcasing various points of interest (POIs). Recently, dataminers uncovered information hinting that additional content, identified by the codename “Granite,” is set to accompany Season One’s release on October 28. This content is distinct from the previously announced features.
While neither EA nor the team at Battlefield Studios has officially confirmed a specific launch date for this eagerly awaited mode, the developers have indicated that preparations for seasonal content are in motion, hinting at an “exciting new Battlefield twist on Battle Royale” that could arrive soon.
According to updates shared on social media by Battlefield and Call of Duty enthusiasts, including the ModernWarzone account, the community is buzzing with excitement, suggesting, “It seems safe to conclude this is the BF6 Battle Royale.”
Although some remain skeptical about the legitimacy of the datamined information, sources within the dataminer community are confident that a “full shadowdrop” is on the horizon, with the mode potentially titled Battlefield: RedSec.
In a recent tweet, it was revealed: “EXCLUSIVE: The free-to-play Battlefield 6 battle royale is officially titled ‘Battlefield: RedSec.’ It will launch on October 28, but it appears there won’t be any trailers or announcements until the launch day itself, marking a true surprise release.”
As a reminder, Season One of Battlefield 6 is slated to go live on October 28. EA and Battlefield Studios have recently unveiled a trailer showcasing the first season of post-launch content, which features the expansive Blackwell Fields map along with a new game mode called Strikepoint. This mode is divided into three stages, with the first phase titled “Rogue Ops” set to debut next Tuesday.
This update represents the first significant enhancement for Battlefield 6 following numerous smaller bug fixes and balance tweaks. The game has achieved remarkable success, selling over seven million copies within its first week and rapidly setting new franchise records.
