Upcoming patch for Battlefield 6 will tackle the game’s most annoying issue before the launch of Season One
The upcoming update 1.1.1.0 for Battlefield 6 is scheduled for release tomorrow, just one day ahead of the highly anticipated Season 1 launch. This update aims to tackle one of the primary issues players have faced since the game’s release.
The significant modification focuses on weapon dispersion, a mechanic that has resulted in players experiencing frustrating inaccuracies since the game’s debut earlier this month. Weapon dispersion refers to the phenomenon where bullets diverge from the intended aim point when aiming down sights. Many players have expressed their discontent as they feel their shots should connect but often don’t.
As detailed in the patch notes, this update will refine weapon dispersion to “more accurately reflect the design and performance of each weapon over distance.” The adjustments aim to correct inconsistent accuracy issues, such as when dispersion fails to stabilize properly after sprinting, and to achieve a better balance between precision, control, and firepower.
PC gamers have been adjusting in-game settings to mitigate this issue, so there is hope that these improvements will enhance the shooting mechanics of this immensely popular FPS.
The 1.1.1.0 update will also feature enhancements to core movement animations, improved lighting and visibility, a complete audio overhaul, and updates to the user interface and heads-up display. Additionally, various bugs on specific maps will be addressed, alongside a range of minor changes including the ability to jump uphill and customize parachutes.
This update is expected to prepare the game for a smoother experience ahead of Season One, which will introduce a new game mode, a vast new map, fresh weapons, a new vehicle, and various other features to EA and Battlefield Studios’ renowned military shooter.
