If you’re currently logging into Battlefield 6, you might be greeted by long waiting times for EA’s latest military shooter. This is due to the launch of Season One for Battlefield 6, along with the unexpected debut of the Redsec battle royale mode.

The instant the new season and Redsec became available, players flocked online to share their queue positions. One player captured a staggering queue of 50,000 waiting to access the game, which, while not as extreme as the launch day numbers, is still notably high.

The battle royale experience introduces an expansive new map named Fort Lyndon, designed for squad play, with no option for solo matches available at launch. Additionally, players will find Gauntlet mode within Redsec, a competitive format where squads race to fulfill different objectives in a knockout style.

Moreover, the Battlefield Portal allows players to craft their own customized versions of the Redsec mode, similar to the creative options in Battlefield 6. The Redsec launch trailer showcased a golf cart, sparking speculation about the influx of cart-themed creations that will soon appear in the Portal.

As for the first season of Battlefield 6, it includes a massive new map, an innovative game mode, and several new weapons and gadgets. With all these additions, there’s plenty for dedicated players to explore long after the game’s release.
