Yesterday, the final of the ESL Pro League Season 20 tournament, which had been running since 3 September, ended. It featured 32 esports teams competing in the updated CS2. The tournament was won by the Ukrainian esports team NAVI, which met Eternal Fire in the final.

The final competition between esports players turned out to be dynamic and intriguing, where it was not clear who would become the winner until the very end. The final was held in BO5 (best of five) format, where teams compete on five different maps.

The first map

Nuke was the first map chosen by NAVI, and given the various strategies used by this team, it suited them perfectly. Initially, the teams showed an even match, but then Eternal Fire took the lead. The first half ended with a score of 7:5 in favour of the Turkish team. Eternal Fire was able to build an effective defence that prevented NAVI from attacking. The game ended with a score of 13:8 in favour of the Turkish team.

The second map

The second Anubis map was chosen by the Turkish side and everyone was surprised by this choice, as this map is rarely used for the final tournaments. It seems that Eternal Fire was well prepared. However, NAVI began to act quite aggressively from the very beginning. They quickly broke away from the opponent and at the score of 7:1, Eternal Fire had to take a timeout to regroup. After returning, the Turkish team began to take levels, but did not catch up with the opponent. The first half ended with a 7:5 victory for NAVI.

The second half was no less intense, with both teams demonstrating excellent playing skills and the victory could have gone to either team. However, the Ukrainian eSports team NAVI managed to turn the tide of the game and win with a score of 13:11.

The third map

The Ancient map has a complex landscape and hidden passages, but this made the game even more exciting. The teams were taking round after round, but none of them took a dominant position. The first half ended with a 7:5 victory for NAVI.

The second half went the same way as the first: the teams took turns taking rounds, unable to break away from the opponent. However, thanks to the Ukrainian players b1t and JL, who demonstrated exceptional skills, NAVI won with a score of 13:11.

The fourth map

One of the most famous maps in the game is Inferno. And it seems that Eternal Fire has mastered it well. They quickly seized the dominant position and did not allow NAVI to carry out their attacks. The first half ended with a score of 8:4.

The second half did not bring any changes. Thanks to the shooting skills of XANTARES and woxic, the Turkish team ended the game with a victory, with a score of 13:4.

The fifth map

The Dust 2 map is often a decisive one in tournaments. Eternal Fire quickly took the lead thanks to their aggressive attack, winning the first four rounds. However, NAVI quickly adapted and demonstrated excellent team play. They gradually took control of the game, ending the first half with a score of 7:5.

In the second half, the Ukrainians broke the resistance of the Turkish team and finished the game with a score of 13:10.

NAVI became the champions of the ESL Pro League Season 20, demonstrating impeccable teamwork and understanding of the situation on the playing field. At the same time, a new favourite appeared in the world of esports. Eternal Fire demonstrated an aggressive and unpredictable game and managed to defeat the favourites Team Vitality. They will still have something to show in future tournaments.
