Shogun's Hiroyuki Sanada may get a role in Ghost of Tsushima
According to the latest insider reports, Shogun star Hiroyuki Sanada may be cast in the upcoming film Ghost of Tsushima. It’s better not to trust rumours. However, the prospect of actors from the popular historical drama playing characters from the equally popular Sucker Punch game is exciting.
To increase the PlayStation audience, Sony is increasingly creating films and TV series based on popular video games. The company has previously successfully adapted Uncharted and Gran Turismo. The next film to hit the big screen will be The Ghost of Tsushima in 2020.
This film was first talked about back in 2021. Back then, Sony announced that the samurai game would be filmed. The director of the upcoming film will be Chad Stahelski, who once directed John Wick. Although the company did not say much about the film, the latest rumours excited Shogun fans.
In his post, insider DanielRPK claims that Hiroyuki Sanada, who played Lord Yoshi Toranaga, is currently in talks with Sony about his role in Ghost of Tsushima. Although this information does not guarantee his exact participation, it does not completely rule it out.
