Netflix’s The Squid Game was released almost three years ago and immediately gained popularity among viewers. For a long time, there were rumours about a possible sequel, and now the creators of the series have officially confirmed the release of the second and third seasons.

Today, a teaser trailer was released announcing the second season of Squid Game. The first episode will be released on 26 December this year on Netflix. The trailer also said that fans should prepare for the third season, which will be released in 2025.

The plot of the new season

Three years have passed since The Squid Game. The winner of this deadly quest #456 continues to search for the people behind it and seeks to put an end to such fun. Gi-hun uses the money he won in the game to cover his expenses.

He looks for a man in a suit playing ddakji chigi on the subway. Eventually, Gi-hun gets information about the organisation behind it all. However, to put an end to this nightmare, he will have to take part in the Squid Game again.
