Developer Ubisoft claims that the upcoming game Star Wars Outlaws is the first game based on the Star Wars universe with an open world. Players learned about this after watching the new Outlaws trailer, which shown at Ubisoft Forward 2024.

The game is between the stories The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Players will take on the role of Kay Vess. She is a famous criminal who wants to commit the biggest heist in the galaxy. She has the opportunity to explore different planets, interact with characters, and take part in combat and stealth missions.

The second important thing to pay attention to is the presence of canonical slot machines. Formally, video games mentioned in 1993 in the novel The Dawn of the Jedi. Later, they appeared in only two non-canonical children’s publications. And that’s about it. In the trailer, which presented to the audience yesterday, you can see a real arcade machine. This is the first canonical image of a video game in the 50-year history of the franchise.

Ubisoft claims that the arcade machine shown in the trailer is Raven 6. The developers describe it as a space shooter that Kay Vess played for many years. Ubisoft also claims that other arcade games are hidden throughout the galaxy.
