How combat operations have changed in Book of Travels
The Swedish developer Might and Delight has previously promised to redesign the combat mechanics in Book of Travels, and now the changes have been rolled out with the new update.
The battle mode has been completely redesigned. There is a new game system, new visual effects, animations, and soundtrack. The dueling warden in Bat-Saha will no longer be guided by an interactive tutorial. The developers have also added 10 new combat events, duels, and more loot from combat encounters.
It will now be easier for players to participate in multiplayer battles. If they lose their strength but have allies, they can help them recover.
Currently, all battles work according to the new system, but the changes are being implemented gradually. That’s why the player can only fight with swords, the equipment is also not working now, and non-human creatures have been disabled for technical reasons. Very soon, everything will work properly, and players will be able to enjoy the gameplay updates.
The developers themselves describe Book of Travels as a TMORPG (Tiny Multiplayer Online RPG), which means a limited number of players on the server, creating a more personal and less chaotic experience compared to traditional MMORPGs. The game has a unique aesthetic with hand-drawn graphics reminiscent of watercolour illustrations. This creates a fairy-tale and calm atmosphere. Players have the opportunity to freely explore the world without being limited by strict storylines. The game’s story is revealed through exploration and interaction with the world around them and its inhabitants.
