Konami’s Castlevania series continues to gain momentum thanks to animated adaptations and co-operative video games. The long-awaited co-op Castlevania game Dead by Daylight will be released on 27 August, but its public test version is already available.

What to expect from the game

The Castlevania crossover in Dead by Daylight introduces Dracula as the new Killer in an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game. His castle, which gives him his power, is closely linked to him. Players will see it hovering over the vampire when Dracula kills someone.

The upcoming character Dracula from Dead by Daylight is the first werewolf killer in the game, able to transform into a bat, a wolf, and a vampire. In the form of a bat, he is silent, moves quickly, and can teleport anywhere in the vault. Those who survive become invisible, but their scratches remain visible. In wolf form, Dracula has increased movement speed and a keen sense of smell to track down those who leave puddles and scratches behind. Surviving victims also leave scent spheres that Dracula can collect for a powerful attack. In his vampire form, Dracula can cast Hellfire spells, creating pillars of flame that burn flesh and turn bones to ash. Dracula has such abilities as “Terrible Fate“, “Human Greed” and “Dominance“.

In addition to Dracula, the game will feature vampire hunter Trevor Belmont. Players were first introduced to him in Castlevania 3: Dracula’s Curse in 1989.

This expansion is currently available for testing on PC only. The full version for all platforms will released on 27 August.
