New weapons will appear in Monster Hunter Wilds
Developer Capcom has released new trailers showing off the upcoming updates for Monster Hunter: Wilds. Players can expect changes to weapons and a new Focus Mode.
Focus mode
The Focus Mode mode in Monster Hunter: Wilds will be available for all weapons. It is basically a regular aiming system that allows players to kill monsters faster. This mode slows down the player’s actions, allowing them to aim more carefully and perform special attacks with certain weapons. In addition, the Focus Mode highlights areas that have been attacked for a long time, allowing players to deliver stronger shots.
The main advantage of Focus Mode is the ability to target weaknesses. When the monster is stunned and lying on the ground, players can easily identify vulnerabilities and quickly win.
New weapons
Recent trailers have also shown the return of several weapons from previous Monster Hunter games. One of them is the Insect Glaive, which has the ability to summon a flying insect that will attack the monster. The sword itself has two ends, one for blunt attacks and the other for sharp attacks.
Another weapon that is making a comeback is the swinging hunting horn, which can be used to deal strong blows to the monster’s shell and its parts. In addition, it gives the player and his allies an extra boost of energy, as it is also a musical instrument.
The Heavy Bowgun, a long-standing weapon in the Monster Hunter series, is also making a comeback. It functions as a heavy machine gun turret and is effective when targeting specific points on the monster. The Ignition Mode allows you to quickly fire special ammunition. In addition, the Heavy Bowgun is large enough to be used to block attacks.
These updates are scheduled for release next year, but the exact date has not yet been announced.
