To calm down the disappointed players, a Developer Deep Dive presentation was released on 12 August, where players were shown a detailed gameplay for the first time.

The protagonist, Skif, is a silent man who goes in search of artefacts and explores the Zone. Players have to take care of Skif’s health by feeding him and giving him a chance to rest, which adds to the game’s realism.
In the Zone, players will encounter a variety of enemies, including zombies, Controllers, mutants, and radiation, which can fought with vodka.

There is no traditional leveling up, the character develops by exploring the Zone. The game also has moments of sudden change of leaders in groups, which adds to the chaos of real life. In addition, the game has three hours of cinematic scenes that tell the backstory of characters and monsters.
