Lost Ark will receive a new update called The Calm Before the Storm, which contains a number of interesting additions and improvements. It will released on 14 August and will be available worldwide. Players will find Indigo Island, a new dungeon, the Bound Gold system, new events and cosmetics.

New locations

One of the main highlights the introduction of a new dungeon called Indigo Island, which will available to players with an item level of 1600. While exploring the island, players will discover new parameters, get 5 Mokoko seeds, 2 new achievements and 5 new buildings.

Also, the single-player dungeon Sea Cave will be available to lonely players. This is the last example of single-player content, and you can only visit this location once a day. If players successfully clear the dungeon, they will receive a coral stone that can exchanged for nice rewards. There are three paths in the dungeon, but only one is open at first, the others will become available when the player successfully completes the first one.

Other improvements

The update will introduce linked gold, a new resource that can earned and used to progress instead of regular gold. According to developer Smilegate, this change aimed at combating fraud and offers players new ways to earn rewards. One of the notable changes is that raids in the single player game will now reward players with bound gold.

The Chaos dungeons will feature a weekly clearing feature that will allow players to earn clearing points and receive chests with rewards for certain stages. In addition, silver shards and honour shards obtained in dungeons will replaced by chests with reward sets in the clearing system.

To celebrate the update, there will be a Chaos Dungeon Clearance event, a new monthly Fever Time event, and updated daily login rewards. The store will also feature new cosmetics, including the spooky Omen collection.
