Keiichiro Toyama, the creator of Silent Hill, and his studio Bokeh have released a new trailer for the upcoming horror game Slitterhead. The two-minute trailer shows the creepy world that players will have to traverse to rid it of the terrifying creatures known as Slitterheads.

What was in the Slitterhead trailer

The game is set in the cluttered streets of Kowloon, full of uncertainty and chaos. The protagonist, named Hyoki, is always trying to destroy these monstrous creatures disguised as humans.

The trailer emphasises the chaos and violence in the game. It starts with innocent scenes of deserted locations that players can explore. But everything changes very quickly, and the player finds himself in a whirlwind of events surrounding the main characters in the story.

Then the first Slitterhead appears and the audience is shown how it pounces on a sleeping man in bed and sends a tendril of spikes into his forehead. There are also battle scenes with a motorcycle demon.

Slitterhead announced back in December 2021. It will finally launch on 8 November 2024 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.

What we know about the game

Slitterhead is a video game in development by Bokeh Game Studio, a studio founded by Keiichiro Toyama, the creator of the Silent Hill and Siren series. The game announced during The Game Awards 2021.

Slitterhead combines elements of horror, survival, and action games, but, unlike classic horror games, there is more emphasis on dynamic combat. The game immerses players in a world where humanity faces unknown and terrifying creatures that can take the form of people. The action takes place in a city inspired by modern Asian megacities.

The gameplay promises to be dynamic and intense, with a large number of battles that include both weapons and hand-to-hand combat. In addition, the game will have a significant number of enemies that can transform from humans into monsters.
