Recently, it reported that Ukrainian video game developer GSC Game World plans to raise the price of the upcoming game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl in the region. The changes were not long in coming: today, the basic edition costs 1399 UAH instead of 895 UAH, the Deluxe Edition costs 1899 UAH, and the Ultimate Edition costs 2549 UAH.

Earlier, the developer reported that the price adjustment was necessary due to the market situation. Analysing the regional prices, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has been available for a long time at one of the lowest prices for an AAA game. Users who pre-ordered the game not obliged to pay anything extra.

Is it worth pre-ordering

The game scheduled for release on 20 November 2024. Buyers who pre-order the game will receive several bonuses. These include expanded content for the bonfire, an early bird weapon skin, and a costume skin. In addition, they will receive a multiplayer icon and a Steam Pack with animated avatars and profile screensavers.

The Deluxe Edition offers exclusive content such as an additional storyline side quest, costume skins, weapon skins, a digital art book and a digital soundtrack. The Ultimate Edition includes all of the above, as well as a Season Pass for access to future DLC, including two storyline add-ons.

Minimum technical requirements

The long-awaited S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will released on the Unreal Engine 5 after the update from UE4. The development team used NVIDIA’s Audio2Face AI service to create realistic facial animations and lip sync using voice tracks. In addition, NVIDIA DLSS 3 (frame generation) will integrated into the game.

As for the system requirements, the minimum specifications for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 on Windows computers include Windows 10 or Windows 11, an AMD Ryzen 5 1600X or Intel Core i5-7600K processor, 8 GB of RAM, an AMD Radeon RX 580 8 GB or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB graphics card, and 150 GB of free SSD space.
