During the presentation of Sony State of Play, game developer Capcom published a new trailer for the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds game. It was confirmed that the release will take place on 28 February 2025. In the new trailer, the developers showed new locations, various monsters, and humanoid cats.

What Monster Hunter Wilds will be like

The new chapter will take players to the Forbidden Lands, a dynamic world filled with changing ecosystems. From vibrant biomes like the Windward Plains to dangerous areas like the Crimson Forest, where fierce monsters fight for survival.

The game will feature new monsters such as Quematris, a brutal wyvern that uses sparks from its tail to set the environment on fire. Players will also hunted by the apex predator Ut Duna, a leviathan that is active during storms. Players will accompanied bythe Forbidden Lands companion, a new warden named Alma, and other allies as they explore this hostile environment. The game also promises deeper environmental interactivity, allowing for strategic use of terrain and resources.
