The remake of the legendary Silent Hill 2 game by Polish studio Bloober Team, which is expected to be released on 8 October, has already caused a real stir among survival horror fans. However, unwanted spoilers have already appeared on the Internet, as the entire game leaked to some players prematurely.

Leaks and early access

Physical copies of the game seem to have shipped ahead of schedule. Some users, such as Luke76bg on the ResetEra forum, have already shared their impressions and even progress in the game – screenshots confirm that users on PlayStation 5 have already completed 39% of the game. This led to the spread of plot points and details of the remake on social media.

Although the original Silent Hill 2 released more than 23 years ago, for many players the remake will be their first experience with this game. The Bloober team has promised to keep the original storyline unchanged. However, despite this, spoilers can spoil the fun of discovering the secrets of the eerie city of Silent Hill for newcomers.

Console exclusivity and future releases

Silent Hill 2 Remake will be exclusive to Sony consoles for one year. So PlayStation 5 players will be the first to immerse themselves in this terrifying world. The game will also be available on PC. However, Xbox users will have to wait a little longer for the release. As for the Nintendo Switch, the chances of the game being released on this platform are rather low.

First gameplay footage

Konami has already released the first 90 minutes of gameplay on the 2BRO YouTube channel. This allowed players to feel the eerie atmosphere of the updated Silent Hill. In the video, the protagonist James Sunderland meets horrific creatures and gradually plunges into a gloomy world. The commentary in the video is in Japanese, but the gameplay itself is in English, so foreign fans also have the opportunity to get acquainted with the updated game.

Bloober Team estimates that the first 90 minutes make up only about 10% of the game. This means that the total playing time will be between 16 and 18 hours. This will allow players to dive deeply into the psychological and plot intricacies that make up the atmosphere of Silent Hill 2.
