Yesterday, it became known that the popular trilogy of the legendary game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. will released on Nintendo Switch at the end of October. Earlier it was reported that such iconic games as Shadow of Chornobyl (2007), Clear Sky (2008), and Call of Prypiat (2009) would be released on the console in November. However, yesterday, developer GSC Game World announced that the release will take place earlier – on 31 October.

Games on Nintendo Switch

The release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. on Nintendo Switch will not only bring the legendary series to a new platform but also add new features. To enhance the gameplay experience, the game will support gyroscopic sight and touch controls. This will make the gameplay even more interactive. The game will also feature improved graphics and the ability to switch from the handheld console to the big screen.

To create this version, GSC Game World collaborated with MATABOO to help optimise the game for Nintendo Switch. This allowed us to preserve the authenticity of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, conveying the atmosphere of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone to players in a new format.

Price

Players will be able to purchase each of the three games individually for $19.99. However, for those who want to get the full package, a three-game bundle is available for $39.99. It is worth noting that the price may vary depending on the region. All games will be available in digital format and the trilogy is already available for pre-order.

Today, GSC Game World engaged not only in game development but also in social and charitable initiatives. And some of the company’s developers are actively fighting against the Russian invasion at the frontline.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl is scheduled for release next month, namely on 20 November. As part of this project, GSC Game World and Xbox created the documentary War Game: The Making of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 about the creation of the game in wartime. It was released on 3 October on the official YouTube channel.
