World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic has officially set February 18th as the release date for Hour of Twilight, the expansion’s final major update. With the Dragon Soul raid launching on February 20th and the Baradyn Hold boss Alizabal arriving on February 25th, the rest of the month promises to be packed with content for players in World of Warcraft Classic, reported by GameRant.
Hour of Twilight is the epic climax of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. Heroes literally travel back in time through three new dungeons before finally facing off against Deathwing, a corrupted aspect of the black dragon in World of Warcraft, in a battle to prevent the apocalyptic end of Azeroth itself.
Three Iconic Dungeons
Now, World of Warcraft fans finally know the official date when they can relive this epic confrontation in Cataclysm Classic. On February 18th, the Hour of Twilight patch hits the servers, bringing with it three iconic World of Warcraft Cataclysm dungeons that lead up to the final battle with Deathwing: End Time, Well of Eternity, and Hour of Twilight.
To queue up for these dungeons, characters must be at least item level 365, where they must defeat Murozonda, leader of the Endless Dragon Race. They can then obtain the Dragon Soul from the War of the Ancients and finally bring it back to the present to use against Deathwing.
Dragon Soul Raid
Then, on February 20th at 3:00 PM PST, the Dragon Soul Raid will open. Groups of 10 and 25 players will fight off the servants of the Old Gods, the Elementals, and the Twilight’s Hammer, who will defend the Wyrmrest Temple and ultimately destroy Deathwing. Finally, on February 25, Shivarra, trapped in Baradin Keep, will be available for raid groups of 10 and 25 while Tol Barad is under their faction’s control. Rogue fans have even more reason to be excited about this update.
The Fangs of the Father is a set of legendary daggers obtained through a special questline that introduces Wrath, the renegade black dragon. He plays a major role in upcoming World of Warcraft expansions. Rogues can start this quest from Lord Devrestraz in the Dragon’s Soul raid as soon as it opens. Hour of Twilight is the last major patch of Cataclysm, aka World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic, and it’s just around the corner. Although the expansion does not yet have an official release date, the 2025 roadmap suggests it will be released no later than early fall, with the Pre-Patch arriving in the summer.
