Star Wars Outlaws players across all platforms can now download a new update with improvements ranging from support for the latest Nvidia GPUs to bug fixes. The newly released patch essentially updates Star Wars Outlaws to the latest hardware across multiple platforms, reported by GameRant.
Five months after its release, it’s no secret that Star Wars Outlaws has fallen short of publisher Ubisoft’s lofty expectations. Despite expanding on the wildly popular Star Wars IP, the adventure game starring an original hero named Kay Vess has not been well-received by critics or gamers alike.
Massive Entertainment Releases New Patch
Following a disappointing launch, creative director Drew Rechner has focused the studio on improving the game based on feedback, with a particular focus on three key aspects of Star Wars Outlaws. To that end, the developers have released five major updates in addition to several smaller patches, the latest of which is due in February 2025. Massive Entertainment has released a new patch for Star Wars Outlaws called Title Update 1.5.1, which includes a number of improvements, including for PC and PS5 Pro users.
On PC, the patch adds support for the recently released Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards and introduces features such as DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation, which provides a smoother experience for players. In addition, the DLSS 4 capabilities of Nvidia GPUs also mean better lighting, improved rendering of details in motion, and improved stability. For PlayStation users, the new update brings support for the latest version of PSSR, the AI-powered scaling technology used on the PS5 Pro console.

Bug fixes in Star Wars Outlaws
A streaming service issue in Star Wars Outlaws that caused a crash when navigating to Renpally Station has been fixed. A bug that caused ships overhead to be extremely loud has also been fixed across all platforms, as well as a bug that prevented the new Star Wars hero from disembarking from his speeder during a steep incline. The failed launch of Star Wars Outlaws was a major disappointment for Ubisoft in 2024. Worse still, it was followed by the shutdown of its live-service game XDefiant, leaving the veteran developer at a crossroads regarding its future in the industry.
With Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ release approaching by the day, Ubisoft is likely hoping that the latest entry in its massive IP pipeline will mark the start of a more active period. Star Wars Outlaws on PC now features DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation for GeForce RTX 50 series, which boosts FPS using AI to generate up to three frames per traditional frame. DLSS 4 also introduces faster single frame generation with reduced memory usage for RTX 50 and 40 series, as well as new AI transformer models for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, Super Resolution, and DLAA for all GeForce RTX GPUs, improving stability, lighting, and detail in motion.
